Nope, I made my own FC (Gil Fanclub) primarily so that I could have the <<GILF>> tag next to my name and say that it is shorthand for Gil Fanclub if asked, it isn't a part of Silent's actual lore.

As an aside, I have yet to unlock the 2nd submersible via RNG yet. My first is rank 27/20 now.

Was the moustache against Coastguard regulations or something? Why'd they shave it...

Though Silent normally has an experienced healer mend his wounds, he is capable of healing himself with his own imperfect magic in a pinch. This, however, leaves faint scars behind, which have accumulated over time. The most prominent scar over his left eye healed naturally on its own.
