if you're struggling with the November gloom, you may enjoy this little graph. To live as far away from the equator as the UK is a decision that most of the world have decided, quite sensibly, not to make. Also note there's barely any land available at the equivalent latitude in the south.

Hate hate hate the fact that every notice board in the offline world is now full of this loveless, lifeless generic cartoony crap. At least MS clip art had a naff charm. God knows how freelance graphic designers must feel (insolvent, I imagine).

Gemma New stepped in to conduct LPO tonight after Elim Chan dropped out due to illness 👏 I enjoyed the savagery of excerpts from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet. A higher spot than I usually get but the sound was actually better than I expected
