Unfortunately, Newsom vetoed SB 418 (Ensure Equal Access to Care for All). However, the bills he did sign are a huge step forward in trans rights for Californians—and we can fight again another day. But we’re not done yet. SB 59 still needs to pass in the Legislature – and then be signed by Governor Gavin Newsom.

Lately, he’s been backtracking under pressure from Trump’s anti-trans agenda. That’s unacceptable.
