The entire shadow government started on the oil rig, but Bethesda was at least reasonable in their transplant, it’s not unreasonable to expect there to be survivors who left California before or after the oil rig blew up.

I don’t recall ever having a speech check there, either they say they can’t get in the way of your destiny in version 1.0, or they happily oblige with Broken Steel loaded.

I use Steam because I occasionally play TF2, and because all my PC games are right there. The interface works and Gaben isn’t a piece of shit like Bezos.
