Althusser sent Ilyenkov signed copies of Reading Capital and For Marx. All Ilyenkov did is answer with a critique of Althusser's argument on historicism in Marx.

Did this a year ago on other site, but it would be a fun exercise with new friends here: What are the recurring book covers, in series or publishers, that arouse for you involuntary chill/excitement? For me, UofMinnesota "Theory and History of Literature" is still somewhere at the top of the list.

I've been intensely craving chanterelles (tis the season, and I'm in the wrong part of the world). I went to the mushroom dealer at the local farmer's market, and he gave me theses ("they are from the same family") -- anyone know what they are? what to do with them? is this some northeast thing?
