Being a virtual team has its benefits... and challenges.

During our 2024 virtual holiday party, we equipped our favorite cosmetics and met outside the Cyborg Factory for a "photo". While we couldn't make a real group photo, I think this screenshot is the next best thing.

Ghosts are a problem on Etheria too! But the problem is (mostly) under control thanks to the cyborg rebellion.

But that hasn't stopped a few amateur ghost blasters from fighting some ghosts themselves!

Rock golems are INCREDIBLY territorial. You are blasting through their caves, after all.

Development Secret! 🤫

The firework skill was an accident! Originally, the skill was meant to only shoot behind you, but an error in the programming caused it to shoot in all directions.

We liked it so much we made it look like a firework and kept it!

Nothing quite like being an indie studio a few years into developing a game on Unity 🙃
Unity’s recent decision hurts game developers. As an indie studio developing our very first game in the Unity engine, it hurts us. It hurts our ability to ensure our studio’s financial security, and it erodes our trust in the engine we’ve spent years working with. Making a free-to-play game is risky enough as is, and these changes make it much worse. By charging per install, indie developers like us take on significantly more risks by creating a free-to-play game. Having a viral moment and getting hundreds of thousands of installs is no longer a cause for celebration, it becomes a financial burden. We’re too far along to make the switch to a new engine for Cyborg Immortal. Unless Unity fully walks back their disastrous decision, we have trouble seeing a future developing games on the Unity engine.

Formerly a haven for scientists and historians, the Etherian Natural History Museum lost a lot of its academic charm after the nuclear meltdown made the entire region uninhabitable.

But no worries, the gift shop remains open to this day

The nuclear reactor looks a bit different since the meltdown. The plants that took over seem friendly...... but they don't seem to be doing so hot.
