There is NO constitutional requirement that says the Speaker of the House is the only person who can administer the oath of office to newly elected representatives. It’s not a law. I’ve been shouting this for weeks.

I love this, but would also be cool to make it a tax credit that covers a full day of wage! I think that’d be a great incentive for those that can’t necessarily afford to miss work otherwise, I’m just not certain how it would or could be verified
