He is also an elected member of The American Law Institute and the National Academy of Public Administration.

Cary Coglianese is the Edward B. Shils Professor of Law, Professor of Political Science, and the Director of the Penn Program on Regulation at the University of Pennsylvania.

She holds both a JD and a PhD in Law and Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Her research focuses on administrative law, environmental and energy law, and the implementation of cost-benefit analyses, and has been published in both leading law reviews and peer reviewed journals.
