"Find out what makes you kinder...what opens you up and brings out the most generous, and unafraid version of you." -- George Saunders
His walking may not be perfect, but he’s perfect in every other way.

The people who said he should be put down were too focused on what might happened to his brain. You focused on his heart. And what a big heart. I love his floppy ears.

What a sweet boy. It was a perfect role of the Dice once he was freed from those chains.

"I sometimes worry I make too big a deal of dogs dying." My grandmother apparently said: "If you find a man who doesn't love children or dogs or cats, stay away from him." Whatever brings out our compassion and love is worthwhile. Please keep doing sharing @niallharbison.bsky.social.

Niall, so much in that post. I hope Big Mac crosses the rainbow bridge peacefully. It's amazing how in the midst of everything, you spend so much time and love with each individual dog. Tina must be so proud of her hospital! The President of El Salvador!! You are making a global movement.

It must be something to experience the moment an abused dog realizes that there is love in the world. And they become the dog they were born to be. It’s a story about Anthony Hopkins and Earth. Heaven and Earth.

If anyone can bring back Big Red’s love of life, it’s you and the Happy Doggo team. I hope the situation improves for all dogs and people.

Niall, those two young women in India who were inspired by you are an example of the butterfly effect. I’m confident there are many people who you’ll never meet who are making the world a better place for dogs. And humans.

How very sad. He probably spent most of his life suffering except for the last four days. He probably didn’t realize you would do anything to make the rest of his life loving and safe. So maybe he thought “I want this to be the last feeling in my life”

(Second) chance. Dogs definitely smile. And they smile beautifully, probably because it reflects who they are on the inside. Thanks for bringing that out in Chance.

Look at those eyes -- now full of hope. Noodles is the perfect name.

I had thought those bandanas were the best accessory, but I guess I was wrong.

I'm sure it wasn't easy to write that one. And feel that one. No doubt it would be wonderful to have a life without responsibility. But you and Happy Doggo show us everyday that there's nothing like being responsible for someone else's care and dignity. Especially if that someone is a dog.

The journey from rock bottom is upwards, in small steps, with stops and starts. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Time is important but feeling love is critical. The moment we feel the most empty, is the moment that we feel and need kindness the most. You did that for Britney.

Big T must have loved that T-bone steak (ok, maybe it wasn't a T-bone, but that's beside the point). Little bark, big heart. And now with big heart people.

How could anyone look at those faces and think “I’m going to poison you”?!? Thank you Niall for setting them on the path of happiness.

You can see how the sadness has transformed into the twinkle in his beautiful eyes.
