my dad and i went to visit where my grandparents met and it was a really lovely, enjoyable trip. i'm glad i grew up with an appreciation for that kind of stuff, or at least developed it as a teen and twenty-something

idk if it helps at all but i didn't realize it until i was already an adult. plenty of things made sense in retrospect but i didn't know who i was until i was maybe 19 or 20
