Last night, the people closest to me went with me to my sanctuary, where John and I volunteer weekly. It was volunteer appreciation night, and I got to take them for a much needed break. A very beautiful night, with very beautiful people.

This time of year, there's a lot of struggle. My life is not excluded from this fact. Because my county has one of the highest winter su!cide rates, there's a beacon of hope that goes up. Please, if you need help, don't be ashamed of asking.

Doing good deeds got me nowhere at all. I've debated recently. Do I turn cold-hearted and evil? Those are the only people actually getting ahead in life. That's what those who steal my pictures and my business are. I'm tired of fighting for good. Fairy tales lie.
