AND THEN SHE STOLE MY LUNCH.

Oh and then there's the laws in Canada barring news from US outlets on Meta. I forget at times and send my Canadian friends interesting social cards from US news outlets and they can't see them.

The problem there, speaking as someone who works in news, is that they make it very hard to access outbound links to news stories. I can plop a link here, easy peasy. But on IG, you have to hook in several layers to get to an article and they do it on purpose. It's annoying.

I imagine so. Fan works are usually a springboard to original pieces and that is such a good, positive thing.

Someone did a massive fan edit of Babylon 5, recutting it into a series of movies. It's a fantastic piece of fan creativity and love of the original work

People are mocking them for daring to do this. I said those being cruel should be ashamed of themselves. This is one of the responses I got.

Also, I really hate bullies and gatekeepers.

God, you’re way too blockable.

Having sat in the same room as her and watched her draw these characters using actual pen and paper, you are so out of line that the line is no longer even visible.

I did blow a gasket. I got home by the time I needed to, but with a lot more pain in the asses.

Oh good, I’m glad this could help.

Let your client know that getting the VAT number involves repeatedly hitting your head against the wall. It’s so needlessly complicated

Thank you for all the shares!

I went through the UK's giant list until I reached a site where I was able to file my return. So £5 per return going forward, then I paid the tax owed through the HMRC site.

Maybe this will help someone else out in the future. business-x.anna.money

God, setting it up was the worst. I think getting my husband's green card was easier.

He's British and he got to hear all my extremely inventive swearing and basically was going, "Yup, this tracks."

Yup, that is exactly what I am running into. And I am hating it so much. We're a tiny artist-owned business, not Amazon.

We had so many requests from people in the UK to sell stuff there, and I was so happy to finally do that for them. But why is it so damn hard to actually pay my taxes?

Is there any other US small business who has done this and has recs? Thank you!

And yes, the US does get criticized a lot, but at least it's easy for me to log into Pa.'s website and pay my sales taxes twice a year without endless BS.
