we have to envision the next 250 years - what will it look like? We must engage and think about the future, where gov't is going to do things that are radical. Drastic things to make us much more free and prosperous. Gov't is holding us back. Imagine a more just America.

Timothy: you can't JUST resist. Say you not just trying to stop something, we are trying to preserve something. This is not enough to say. We have to be thinking in terms of the future, and a much better future. Billionaires are taxed, wealth more distributed, positive morality in politics, etc. -

Stacey: Let's talk about what's on the other side. Imaging what we need, rebuilding. what should be think about?

Timothy: when we get to the other side of this, teh only people we'll have are us. The "Us" are the people with experience in resistance, and organizing. We have to get these skills.

Talk about it calmly with other people. Let it drop that something is deeply bothering you. Let people know what you care about.

Next, look at little transfers of funds. Organizers need your money.

Do something with people you respect. Be with people that are courageous.

Timothy, on what to do next:

protestors are doing the right thing. No substitute for protesting. It matters - it makes gov't harder to do bad things and bad things secretly. Be out there, if you can.

horrible imagery, including AI, out there?

We can we think of that makes sense. ICE Out for Good was a perfect example.

Stacey: In resistance, the arts take on an important frame. What role should arts play in this moment of resistance?

Tim: if you look at fascism, they are very conscious of the visual moment. Visual turns into the visceral. This is part of a fascist transition. Notice also, is the presence of ...

Language must humanize a person. Talk about the person, what she did, what she was like. Celebrating the imperfect life. No one is perfect in every way but we all have something to offer. There is a sense of loss. Remind people that we all know someone like her.

Stacey: what should we think about and do?

Tim: this is a fundamentally moral issue. One can't let go of the care of a woman who is shot 3X in the face for nothing. One can't let go of that. Utlimately, there's concern for the dignity of the life is the basis of a democracy.

The broader concern: ICE is a presidential national para-military carrying out orders that are not legal. Enforcing the law means following it. Pointing tasers and trespassing, assaulting, and breaking and entering is criminal. We should not bow our heads to "law enforcement"

Is the killing of Renee Good a turning point?

Timothy: The executive branch should not be commenting on these things. It should not be someone's fault if they get killed. All she did was do the thing we are told, is exercise free speech. Now Gov't is covering it up.

We all have to do something. We each don't have to do everything. Progress isn't linear. We have to build a coalition on our own side and then build a bigger coalition with the other side. Clark Kent is not out there; we all have an incredible challenge to get through.
