“We forget that none of this had to exist — that we weren’t owed mountains and music by the universe,” writes Maria Popova.

“During all my years in practice I have been seeing the big changes that mountains have encountered. Climate change is affecting us every day, everywhere in the world. So that’s why we need to #SaveOurSnow we need to act everyone, and politically act on a very strong determination.”

1. ICIMOD glaciologist & #SaveOurSnow campaign founder Tenzing Chogyal Sherpa. Chogyal has just returned from an expedition to Thame, the village that was devastated earlier this year when a glacial lake flooded in the Khumbu area where he was born.
