Much like anything, trying something new can be daunting. This is the first death metal album I own, as I took a gamble & listened on Spotify. There's a reason why it was one of the best of 2024, it's just damn good.

Absolutely loving this brand new album from Bartees Strange. I've never heard his* stuff before now, but I gave it a listen on Spotify & was sold. Needed to own. One of my favourites so far in 2025.

In light of what's happening in the world, specifically the fascist onslaught in the US, this fits. Yes, they're American, but music is universal and with the lack of existing protest music, I cannot think of much music better to express rage.

My friend received a duplicate copy of Up based on delays in the mail service. I've sent him a couple of my own duplicates in the past and he returned the favour with this, the wonderful 2024 pressing of Michael Giacchino's score for Pixar's "UP".
