I had a lot of fun making the Zach Barth presentation for the Pecha Kucha. His game Infinifactory is so fun to play and it's the reason I fell in love with his games.

For the game We're Just Squids. I was inspired by the title when I found the Joystix font and tried to make a game revolving around that name.

I tried to make the skybox higher quality and be pixelated from the source image alone, but I learned that it's really hard to do that unless you create an image with a skybox in mind. I however couldn't find one online that was good, so I resorted to downscaling images.

I was playing around with textures at first and trying to make them but then I decided that I will just use ones online. I used OpenGameArt.org for my assets in the game and turned them all into pixelated textures once imported.

Void Masta actually uses Unity's built in Input System which was so fun to learn and play with. However, I eventually started to go back to coding input in code because it was getting really hard to do things fast when I was required to maintain a script for all inputs.

I've been making the skybox for Void Masta by taking high quality images like this space one and then tweaking the setting to be turned into a skybox as well as making it as low resolution as possible to fit the game.

Instead of trying to make a rigid character for Void Masta, I was thinking how cool it would be to have a softbody sort of main character. That's what I'm turning the game into.

I really wanted to create Void Masta with a more N64 style something similar to Toree 3D but lately it's been hard figuring out how to make that art.

Void Masta is probably my favorite game I've made so far. It's still being worked on but the idea of being able to basically Attack on Titan Odm around is so fun. I feel like the fun in the game is still dependent on how fun it is to move the character which I'm improving on.

Always Chasing was a weird little game. I wanted to just make something simple and make it so that I can create an object that would follow another object kind of what you might see in other video games.

I loved making We're Just Squids. It was so fun trying to figure out how to make an Undertale like text system with a fun sound effect. It was like a dopamine rush once I figured it out and it played and sounded just the way I wanted it to.

It was so fun learning how to create a ship using unity probuilder. I struggled with making the textures work because I built it weirdly. Next time I'll make sure to use a tool like Blender for something complicated.

I completely forgot about Blusky posts, so I'll be posting an update now.

Turns out that working in third-person to make a text based adventure is much harder than I thought it was going to be. I've decided to take a step back and make more of a first-person with 2D elements as its focus. I would love to make a third-person game maybe with this character. #smallgamestudio

Been working on my Pecha Kucha and it's about Zach Barth, the person behind Zachtronics. He has some incredibly interesting history relating to Minecraft but what I'm even more excited to talk about is my favorite game from him. It's called Infinifactory. I love this game. #smallgamestudio

Was playing Taxonomy of Narrative Choices today. I think this game is great to learn about what type of narrative things you can choose to do in your game and it gives examples of these choices:
Unfair Choice
Fake Choice
Weak Narrative Choice
Expressive Choice
Moral Choices
Dilemmas

Here is an old artwork I made a long time ago. I'm planning on adding this little guy to Project 2 and make the game 3rd person instead of 1st person to make it more interesting. I love 1st person games but something about the classic Mario 3rd person games just hit different.

I'm surprised to see so many impressions on such a small walking simulator. I didn't expect Itch would share the project to so many. I think for Project 2, I'll make it possible to play a web version because I can tell that it might be a bit hard to download with a virus warning.

I wanted to try to add some music for Project 2, here is what I tried to do for Project 1 but it was unfortunately something I didn't like very much and had to scrape it out of the final.

I also liked that Alien Caseno would replicate "humens." It's such a smart way to add some charming personality to the game and I really love this idea.

Alien Caseno was one of the best games to experience. It's such a charming game with so many little creative touches that warm the heart. I think this game is a must if you want to create an environment that is very fun and silly.

Just played "This Is Just A Normal, Run-Of-The-Mill Walking Simulator And Everything Is Fine, Don’t Worry About It" and it feels like it takes a pretty big inspiration from one of the levels of The Beginner's Guide. It's a fun little game with the thoughts of the creator spread it. #SmallGameStudio
