Knowing that this is what Hasbro was planning, it really is just as well that they cancelled G5 MLP when they did. They were going to ruin G4 further by acknowledging Season 9 of FiM in TYT. Thank Celestia this was never finalized. One less thing to revise.

In the Season 7 episode "Once Upon a Zeppelin", Spike mentions that even Princess Celestia takes breaks sometimes. Further proof that her retirement in Season 9 was forced, unnecessary and out of character.
