Illegal immigrants are not eligible for ACA or Medicaid. US citizens and Legal immigrants are eligible. Anyone, including Illegal immigrants, must be treated at the hospital ER.. State/Local/Federal agencies pay 80 % cost of uninsured ER visits. Legal are different from illegal immigrants

incidence of COVID infections are increasing. It is time for some of older folks to get a booster. The available vaccines are not specific for the new Omnicon variant but there is cross protection. RFK, and his anti-vaccine collaborators are effectively discouraging vaccination.

RFK does not understand that infections have no boundaries. Stopping funding the global vaccine program will increase children deaths in the poorest countries, increase the spread of infections in the USA, and reduce America’s reputation in the world.

RFK is replacing highly qualified scientist at the FDA with political hacks. This is not the way to make certain that new drugs, devices, and food are safe, effective, and nutritious.

Basically shutting down the ability of NSF to process new grants and manage existing grants by removing employees from the administration building to provide space for HUD. Another attack on science.

The FDA has established high standards for safety and efficacy of medications, food, and devices in the US. Kennedy's recent use of FDA to achieve political objectives, e.g. restricting access to abortion medications, reducing standards for food inspection, eliminating scientific review of vaccines.

The report of the detection of microplastics in brain tissue is questionable. Gas-liquid chromatography with a mass spectrometer may have detected molecules derived from brain fat rather than plastic. Using this technology, similar patterns can be produced with plastic and fat.

Before you accept the news report that humans have a plastic spoon in their brain, read the article. Analysis of brain tissue using PGLC with MS does not prove that the pattern they detected was from plastic or brain fat. Hyping science does not help credibility.

The 80 % reduction in drug prices is a PR stunt. There is nothing in the proposal about how they plan to negotiate lower prices. Simply saying that US pricing will the same as some undefined average world price is not a plan. Most likely outcome will be the US will experience shortages.

When I was growing up everyone in the school would be out suffering with measles and mumps. Some kids never recovered from polio. Yes most of the kids survived. Fortunately none of my four children and 10 grandchildren have suffered through these illnesses. They were vacinated

Science is an under appreciated driver of our economy and our health. The attack on science and our universities will result in setting the United States back a decade or longer. Everyone knows someone that is living today because of medical treatments that resulted from years of research.
