It's difficult to remember how beautiful the SMINC on the banks of the Old River Lea was before the 'swimmers' took over

Current levels of common pollutants in the #RiverLea.

We have consistently Poor levels of phosphate. A better picture for nitrogen in ammonia levels, but there have been some unexplained spikes.

The authorities should be collecting this data - and acting on it!

Happy World Wetlands Day!

Wetlands are vital habitats for Nature.

We couldn't be more worried that the authority planning a swathe of super-high rise blocks (18-30 storeys) all around the marshes is failing so badly.

In Waltham Forest, 62 out of 63 of social housing blocks of five storeys or higher have 'life-critical fire-safety' defects.

Some Blue Sky!

Save Lea Marshes with other local groups just before the March for Clean Water.

It was a pleasure to meet and march together for the River Lea!

We take monthly samples to test water quality: it's bad.

We'll keep on campaigning until we have a clean river running through our marshes!
