Local food security was an enormous issue even before Jan 20th. It’s now imperative.

Local food security was an enormous issue even before Jan 20th. It’s now imperative.

It is the “Year of the Rural” here in Kitsap County. In 2024, our group was a strong voice for farmland preservation during the Comprehensive Plan update. The 2024 updates focused on land inside UGAs. Year of the Rural in 2025 is an addendum to the 2024 Comp Plan which focuses on farm+ rural lands.
