The requirement that hospitals treat emergency patients (EMTALA) does not confer eligibility into federal health programs. The share of federal health funds used for undocumented individuals’ emergency care is extremely small (well under 1%), so this is not a significant “free health care” program.

Federal law (PRWORA) prohibits undocumented immigrants from accessing most federal health benefit programs. (PRWORA 1996) Medicaid / CHIP and ACA subsidies explicitly require “qualified” immigration status or impose waiting periods; undocumented immigrants are ineligible.

Looks like we are about to give a metric shit-ton of tax dollars to the makers of Tylenol, instead of blowing it on things like healthcare, research, education...With any luck, they'll sue him directly.

Attacking universities and then banning foreign workers (let's call it what it is) is really something of a strategy. This akin to kicking farm laborers out of the country and using consumer's tariff taxes to pay farmers.
