Picture with the flat Inuit drum, a Sauyaq in the Kawerakmiut dialect where my family is from, my Inupiaq name. The sauyaq brings our communities to sing and dance, immersing us in our culture and building community which supports wellbeing. This is the work I seek to continue in my life :)

Clear and COLD!!! The sun was hot though so I went from freezing to pouring sweat depending what direction I was facing and if I was inside. Helped out with the soup serving and distribution today @qajuqturvik!

Super sad to post that the funding for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security funded Arctic Domain Awareness Center-Addressing Rapid Changes through Technology, Innovation & Collaboration, a partnership of more than 37 university, non-profit, industry, and national laboratories was cut today.
