A picture of a Steam Review for Hollow Knight Silksong. Rated Not Recommended with 30.1 hours on record. TLDR: This is the mickeys dicksmasher of games Jokes aside, this game is gorgeous, the gameplay is usually quite fluid and you can see the love that went into both the design of the game and the overall story. It is a great follow up to Hollow Knight in holding to the core ethos, however.... It hates you. Between multiple levels requiring pinpoint timing to navigate, tools having resources you need to farm, most enemies doing two pips of damage (Meaning you realistically can only take three hits tops), healing taking all of your special resource (So you have to essentially play hitless to use special abilities), and a multitude of little insults to your time and progression via long boss runbacks and fake/trapped rest points... I really cannot recommend this game to the average or even above average metroidvania fan. Maybe you want a mickeys dicksmasher experience, but I personally prefer my ♥♥♥♥ unsmashed.
