Good Morning Blueskylarks and welcome to Tuesday. I'm going to be packing as I am planning to leave tomorrow. A private car and driver door to door, expensive but around the same cost as a flight and the alternative would be a minibus to the border, then a train, ferry and taxi. Enjoy your day!

Good Morning Blueskylets and welcome to #Caturday. Things getting better. Rain has stopped but there is a MASSIVE clean up needed of all the debris and still no sign of running water which people need to clean up their homes. It's not over yet. Worried about a huge public health issue.

Hello Bluesky friends and welcome to Thursday. The good news is that the worst of the weather is over and there are only odd showers now. I'm no better though. I have spoken to an online doctor who has prescribed antibiotics so we'll see how that goes. May need to go to hospital if possible.

Hi Bluesky peeps and welcome to Wednesday. I'm still not well and feeling pretty miserable. That being said, there are people in the town who have lost everything. Apparently this is the worst flooding in 300 years. But the rain is lessening (though there was a bad storm overnight.) 1/2

Good Morning Bluesky peeps and welcome to Monday. Thought I'd better update you on my situation. I haven't eaten for a couple of days, have lost over a stone, (14lbs) in weight. Every cloud ... Talking of clouds the rain is still coming down. The town is cut off and there are food shortages.

Good Morning Bluesky friends and welcome to Sunday. I'm in a disaster zone. Hat Yai has been under water for two days now and rain is predicted for the rest of the week. The power has been out for hours at a time and ironically there is no tap water, can't shower. Hope your day goes better!

After coffee and two slices of dried toast with fellow travellers in Ao Nang, I decided to try and walk near the coast away from the crowds. The heavens opened and I quickly found shelter in a boatman's hut with him and his two cats. Pretty good choice for a cat lover.
