Milton Keynes is either completely free of Vampires or full of ones who can't leave.

I want to write a Doctor Who where the Doctor is the only one who can see something is very wrong when lemonade is being manufactured and then marketed with 21 grams of protein.

Some ancient relative of the Adipose, or a future where nutritionists have gone awry.

Shocked to discover you need 6 professional TV credits to apply for the BBC Cosy Crime residential.

By 2035 all entry level training opportunities for new writers will only be open to those with ten years as a full time writer under their belts.

Authoritative, dramatic voice on trailer: "Can 14 celebrities take on TV's toughest test?"

Me: What? Getting work as a TV writer?

Me skipping through podcast ads:

If the multiverse is real, it means that somewhere, original books can't get published because the industry feels that optioning a TV series or film for adaptation is a safer bet. Or Cole Palmer is struggling for match time because Haruki Murakami fancied playing as a number 10. #scriptsky

To all my non-teacher parents as we head into another very long six week holiday.

Good luck, everyone.

Memories just reminded me of the time in 1998 my mother accidentally purchased 'Urban Rhymes' from Ponty Woolworths instead of Urban Hymns.

I caught up BBC Wales' Death Valley yesterday. It's lovely, has a weird sense of humour and is exactly the kind of thing BBC Wales should be making more of.

Great stuff @pdoolan.bsky.social @sianharries.bsky.social

Also, Gwyneth Keyworth is a future Doctor Who.

A solution for a problem that never existed but they insist until they are red in the face does.

Scolton Manor Ceiling.

Lovely visit today as part of a Heritage Lottery bid I'm writing.

I had to take a moment when I saw they had games consoles from my teenage years behind display cases in their museum.

Got a nice jar of honey too.

People will get their rejection emails today from BBC Writers.

Between 2015 and 2022, I had my annual rejection, until I didn't. Each time I raged against the dying of the light, my script, my keyboard and the rejection itself. In 2023, I got onto Scripted.

Keep writing, the rest is just noise.

Like, do they have a MASSIVE printer or a contract with a printing company for last-minute rush jobs?

Oh and classified etc etc.

I'm using BBC Writers annual report to highlight that I was one of 12 writers on the Scripted scheme (from 4,5000 submissions), and that from April 1st I can be made available for any writing work with only 30 days' notice, and from June 30th, No notice! #ScriptSkyUK

It's 2035. Cars powered by fossil fuels are no more. Every vehicle is inexplicably packed with 28 grams of protein.

Social media is full of people holding forks, nodding approvingly at their Volty McVoltface as their livers are stuffed with evermore protein. Parking meters are packed with protein.
