Subaru is easy because apparently they just sell diecasts at the parts counter at dealerships. Like I was able to find a 2014/2015 forester on ebay pretty easy!

Fwiw when you total ur car you do get to go to it after it is declared totalled and get your stuff out of it. I made very very sure it wasn't in there!

Big breakthrough tho I found a photo of it so I know it exists and where I last had it, and most importantly what it even looks like. Problem is it was three years ago.

Through most of this process I've just been so thankful we were not hurt. I know deer v. car can end so badly especially for pets in the car. I'm so grateful for how safe it ended up being.
