Came here to say this as well, really effective tension and wonderfully written characters

Playing Total Warhammer III and just finished Dark Lord of Derkholm by Dianna Wynne Jones

To quote the alt text: "IT'S TWILIGHT IMPERIUM BAYBEE!"

Microtransactions were a controversial concept when they were first introduced, but slowly they morphed into central to the economy of multiplayer games (loot boxes, cosmetics, season passes)

Doesn't make it any less insidious, but you're right to point this out early and often

That sucks, and it definitely feels like something that should be illegal.

Maybe worth seeing if you can find a pro-bono lawyer to look at it, or a union representative for your field (you do not need to be in a union to speak to someone in that union)

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, is a series about two childhood friends with "nerdy" hobbies (she is a BL doujinshu author, he's an obsessive gamer) who reconnect when they end up working together in the same office

Just a genuinely nice workplace comedy romance about adults

Pretty solid, I'm not sure you need the blanket to cover it, though, do you have that much room noise?

It's not the first time I've used this VPN to stream. I recognise I'm only a single datapoint, but I'll keep streaming this way and see if any issues arise

House long should a resume be to back it up? I've been in a number of amateur projects and I've been a contracted ensemble member with a major podcasting network for a few years

Oh, it's absolutely a purity culture exercise with some fluff about protecting children because it allows them to paint people against the law as putting children at risk
November 14, 2025 at 12:34 AM
I used it for outgoing streaming, so it certainly seems to be - given most VPNs are used for incoming streaming, it would be an odd distinction to make

I use ProtonVPN, as part of my paid Proton account

This is something I've struggled with over the years, because what needs to be in a good demo feels very vague

I get the basics: about 90 seconds, showing a range of emotions and voices (where applicable), but I'm never sure if these should be purpose written, or pulled from existing projects
November 14, 2025 at 12:25 AM
Yup, a combination of deeply insecure and deeply flawed verification systems

The fact that other countries (including Canada) have looked at the UK version of the law and decided they want to adopt it as well is bewildering
November 14, 2025 at 12:12 AM
Also, while I don't doubt the relevant agencies could find every IP address currently used by ever VPN service, the practicalities of enforcing a ban seem all but impossible
November 14, 2025 at 12:09 AM
I'll believe it when I see it - the government's current strategy is to ask the public "pwease don't use a VPN uwu", while one VPN provider alone has reported an 1800% increase in daily sign-ups

I'm not even sure how they'd even try and enforce a full ban

As for the viability, see the post below
Maybe it's depends on set up? I just finished a twitch stream where I was using a VPN

I used an ethernet cable to my router and chose a server from a nearby country which was specifically marked as "streaming supported" with low use - no dropped frames, no bitrate issues, no issues raised by chat

Twitch gets your location based on your payment card so you pay that region's sub prices

They can't geolock content, because the VPN makes it difficult to tell whether a user has, for example, gone on holiday to a different country

I've heavily covered up the image, because I don't want to put this person or their chat on blast - Findom is not my kink, but I'm not here to yuck anyone's yum

This is just pointing out contemporary global hypocrisy in large companies

It's a findom stream - caters to people who have a humiliation fetish by having attractive people demand money from them
November 13, 2025 at 3:45 PM
That's a really good question... inertia, maybe? They've developed things over there (this person is a partner, for all that means) and change is difficult

Or there's perceived prejudice (internalised or otherwise) at being an "OnlyFans creator" instead of a "Twitch Streamer"
