Dear lord, the two biggest Meiko Kaji fans I know have adjacent birthdays??

I spent the last two days of October slowly rereading it – and flipping to the annotations at factsprovidence.wordpress.com/moore-lovecr.... The sheer density of references, callbacks, and nuanced details both in the story and the art is mind-boggling. The more you engage, the better it gets.

A well-hung jury, I suppose.

Reminds me that I am overdue for a series reread. Waiting for Vol 2 of the omnibus to hit before I blaze through it.

So many great moments, but I love how Tommy (/Ennis) totally takes the piss out of Batman and idolizes Superman in the Eisner-winning #34.
