For the love of all things good and wonderful: parents, please keep your sick children home or teach them proper illness hygiene. Your child’s teachers would like to not be sick for the holidays! I’ve already been coughed on and sneezed on by kids today!

This isn’t the first time I’ve scheduled a vaccine to be administered at CVS only to be told when I arrived that they don’t carry that vaccine at that location. Get your shit together, CVS. Don’t let us sign up for something just to get us in the store.

How are we supposed to “assess COVID risk” when they’ve removed the choices and the data?

Make it make sense. 🙃

Obviously, if Harvard can’t have international students, then presidents shouldn’t have international wives.

Reminder ⬇️ apartheid was (mostly) affirmative action for under-qualified Afrikaner men who filled bureaucracies so they could achieve middle class prosperity. Achieved as beneficiaries of state repression on a massive scale. That’s where Melon Husk grew up 🧐

This infuriates me. Long covid is a real thing. And without research into it so many people will continue to suffer.
New EO (link below) orders HHS to terminate the Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Long COVID (section 2iv). Share widely on all platforms. This is a perfect example of how this administration does not care about Americans. If this is efficiency, then what IS Trump's plan for people with Long COVID?

I’m seeing so many posts here of people coming down with covid and feeling miserable. My students are missing school with flu, too. Please, just pop on a simple N95 or KN95 when out and about. I’ve worn a KN95 to work for over four years now and haven’t had so much as a sniffle. No covid or flu.

My kingdom for a soft sweatshirt with a kangaroo pocket and no hood. I’m tired of hoods bunching on my neck. I’m old enough to remember when they were called “hooded sweatshirts” instead of hoodies. I’m done now. I just want a super soft sweatshirt with a big old front pocket and no hood.

"If you’re a health-care worker who sees a patient in a mask, put one on for them. Don’t make them ask. Don’t psychologize them. Don’t betray the trust they’ve shown you. They’ve put their lives in your hands. Don’t take that for granted, it’s not an easy thing for many of us to do"
A plea to maskless health-care workers from vulnerable patients - Healthy Debate

Very happy to be here at Bluesky. Now if only my local National Weather Service office would also post here. The bots that repost alerts aren’t cutting it for me. I miss the pictures and humor of my local office’s updates. Hopefully they will join in time.
