I was in Bitcoin before the grifters came & it got weird. #Bitcoin2016
the world wouldn’t be building on it. I like comparing this to the internet in the 90s because we all had the same apprehension to it. Then you had the dot-com boom and bust, and once the dust settled we arrived here. I suspect this space is going through a similar phase.

And straight up criminals (see Andrew Tate, trump and his cronies) - you have to look ahead of all of them though. Read the Bitcoin whitepaper. Avoid anyone that wants to show you charts about price because it’s not about that. If that’s all it was about the Apples, Googles and Nvdia’s of

I totally get the scepticism. The vast majority of tokens you run into will be scams. It’s the reason I tend not to mention anything other than Bitcoin by name. The problem is the space has been co-opted by extremists. Bitcoin used to be a bunch of hippy coders now it’s filled with the “bros”

I do want to drive home the point though. I do think most tokens and projects around now will be dead before long. That doesn’t mean you won’t be using the Blockchain. Some things built on top look indistinguishable from apps and are not designed to make the user(s) money.

I feel like I did. I’ve been blocked by OP so can’t see original message, but I gave my example on the use case that got me into Bitcoin in the first place. it’s hard to give examples on others without coming across a shill. I’m more than happy to be more specific if you want though.

There are already projects that every day people are using that are running on top of the blockchain at least in some part. Look ahead of the gamblers. Ignore the tokens (as I said 99% will be dead). Apple, Nvdia, Microsoft, they’re not messing around & this isn’t going away.

I don’t want to sound condescending, but I would say you haven’t done enough. It’s not your fault though because you’re right in saying this space is currently filled with gamblers (and degenerates alike). The internet in the 90s was also filled with gamblers and degenerates though.

*99% of crypto projects around today will be dead. Not people.

or Nvdia are taking seriously. I suspect most people in a few decades will be using the Blockchain in one form or another whether they realise they are using it or not. The other 99% will be dead.

- so I won’t name which ones I think will stand the test of time. I think a lot of people have a bad taste when it comes to crypto because of the “crypto bros” grifters they come across. I would say it’s probably not a bad idea to keep an eye on anything companies like Apple

I personally have kept 90% of my money in Bitcoin since I had my primary bank account incorrectly frozen for months almost 10 years ago. I think that 99% of projects in this space are scams/vapourware, but there are a few outliers. I don’t want to come across like I’m shilling though -
