I was at a screening of Escape From New York recently and a couple in front of us laughed the whole way through, death scenes, reaction shots, everything. I'd say this is generational behaviour but they were easily a fair bit into their thirties so I don't know.

Will the site be cleared and houses built there instead now? Nope. Will they protest that too? Nope. Funny that. Don't they use the housing crisis as a reason for their racism?

Abby is a horrible person. Ellie isn't (yet). You end up thinking Joel was the better father. The game fails at making you care enough about Abby and her father. I was hoping the show would change that. Give us more time with Abby, give us flashbacks of her father before she murders Joel.

My problem with both game and show is Abby's father was going to kill a 14 year old child. Ellie would've said yes to the surgery, Marlene even says that, but they don't ask her. Or give her and Joel a chance to say goodbye. Being a doctor doesn't automatically mean you always do the right thing.

I'm still hoping they change things because the second game is bleak. But at least while playing the game the interaction somewhat distracts from the misery as you go along but just watching it unfold in the show is going to be depressing.
