Imo it's fine to HC these characters as POC, the issue is with insisting they ARE poc. there is a common, and often internalised stereotype that people of darker skin tones are rude, apathetic or blunt which when a non human character is that way... Yeah likely the gijinka is gonna be brown

People will find any reason to be disrespectful online, just you do you and don't let people ruin it for you
