Woke up this morning especially disgusted with the Democrats' capitulation on the Obamacare tax credits issue. An egregious abdication of their responsibility to their constituents in order to try to deal with GOPers who will never, ever work with them. trib.al/oFVFKEf
Two families, two responses to spiking Obamacare costs: ‘We can live only maximum 10 more years’
As Affordable Care Act premiums are expected to rise, a single mom expects to become uninsured. Meanwhile, a couple plans to keep their insurance but say they can only afford 10 more years of coverage...

Telling of how out of touch Colbert is at this point that he thinks everyone considers him an important progressive voice. Being centrist lib is like your whole thing, man!

Naked Gun at the drive-in was a throwback and such a blast, my favorite scene is near the end when Frank and the villain have a showdown that results in a bit so silly and hilarious I couldn’t think straight for 30 seconds

On a sad Friday morning, here is a lovely farewell to the many Sun-Times staffers leaving today.

There is no getting around it — the talent vacuum created by these losses will require a lot of us to step up like never before. We hope to deliver for you all.

The Sun-Times is losing some amazing journalists. They wouldn't want us to stop.
The bad news: 35 staffers — including 23 in the newsroom — took a Chicago Public Media buyout and most are leaving today. But their sacrifice will help ensure the newspaper's future.

Thirty employees of the Chicago Sun-Times — around one in five on its payroll — have agreed to resign after a buyout offer.

The departures primarily affect writers and editors, many of whom have extensive experience at the newspaper.

Some deeply sad days at the Sun-Times seeing so many of my talented colleagues taking buyouts to leave the organization. These are devastating losses of talent and institutional know-how, and Chicago will be worse off without them doing their work.

I love that these moves set up the Bears to have no excuse in Caleb's development.

They got the best offensive-minded coach available. They aggressively turned over the entire IOL after a disastrous season. The weapons in place are still reasonably appealing.

Now it's up to Caleb to be great.
Drew Dalman to Chicago has felt like a lock for weeks now. I know folks have mixed opinions on him but I do like that, after last year’s disaster class, they gave Williams a veteran center.

The Ben Johnson era begins with a major investment in the new IOL—Thuney-Dalman-Jackson.
