I think it’s a matter of a lack of options for kids. There’s usually only one or two family movies out at a time nowadays, so the one Disney movie, regardless of quality, eats up all the sales. And since they are “family” movies, it sells tickets usually in sets of 3 or 4 at a time.

I immediately thought of your playthrough. Even the guy playing was like “I’ve seen so many people ragequit this fight because it’s such a steep skill check, and so many kids gave up here…unless you bought the players guide, STOP!” Her 1st phase is immune, so no one would think to try it on phase 2.

Just finished watching a Let’s Play of KH 1 and when I tell you how loud I yelled when I found out Ursula is WEAK to Stop! (Doesn’t even need to be Stopara!) One of the most frustrating bosses and you can just make her freeze and beat her up in literal seconds. Same goes for Hades and some others.

It’s only saving grace is that if you want all of KH’s lore, that game can be skipped IF you read the manga. I believe all of the relevant lore regarding pink hair scythe boy and Kairi-but-in-a-different-color (Namune?) is covered in the KH manga, and it’s one of the only games like that.

Ugh, that game. I tried playing it in college. Managed to get to the end boss and he counters literally everything you can do until you have no cards. I got RNG luck and then found out that’s only the mid point. You then have to play the game BACKWARDS to get the real end-game boss who is WORSE.
