One ticket, fine? Dozens of speeding tickets is a menace and the person clearly has zero care in the world for any/all pedestrians they may hit as they speed down city streets.

lol, yes…wanting an appropriate punishment for the crime, dangerously ignoring the traffic laws and recklessly speeding through the streets of a densely populated city hundreds of times is “psychopath”, but the person committing the crime isn’t. Got it

I think a payment plan is the wrong approach. These folks had tens of thousands of dollars of past due fines. They collecting for hundreds of envelopes in the mail with their tickets and they laughed it off, thinking there was nothing DC could do. Prison time is the only future deterrent.

It’s crazy that red dye 3 was considered too toxic to be used in makeup and thus outlawed in its use 35 years ago, but still able to be used in food. American life spans are the lowest of the west, cancer rates the highest. This is the stuff that permeates the American food supply. “Bee” better…

Even if they did, it’s not like it mattered. It would have constituted ~2% of the ~$900M LAFD budget. Weird that MAGA thinks federal government could easily run with a 30% budget cut, but city government can’t on a 2% cut.
