I’ve been trying to write an application with the help of Tauri for two days. I read the official documentation, googled, communicated with ChatGPT, but I still couldn’t make the application work.

And today, in an hour of work, I did everything on Electron. Now I understand why people use it.

I haven’t drawn such buttons for a long time

1️⃣ I used to ask for feedback like this: send a mockup and ask, “What do you think?” In return, I’d get tons of scattered comments—contradictory, nitpicky, and often useless. I had no idea what to do with them, and projects stalled. So, I changed my approach.

To make sure my colleagues complete my tasks instead of putting them on the back burner, I use two tricks: Make It Effortless to Start, and Bait for Perfectionists. More details in the blog

Oh, Come On, Just Do the Task
At work, I assign tasks not only to designers but also to developers, researchers, and analysts. Naturally, I always want my tasks to be done as quickly and efficiently as possible

I signed up for a course in electronic music making. For the next three months I will be studying 2 times a day for 2 hours, plus homework.

I wrote a post about what inspiration is and how to catch it

Inspiration Comes in the Process
When I was in elementary school and couldn’t solve a math problem, my dad would ask, “Where’s your draft?

This window is terrible and it shouldn’t be in the system

On the one hand, I realise that for AI, the interface is not the most important thing, but geez.

Why don't AI developers think about the interface and how people will work with the system's responses?

Where's the chat navigation, the ability to mark something, highlight it for the future?

I have 3 paper notebooks, 3 note applications, 2 task books and a several Google spreadsheets. Not that this is the minimum necessary, but it somehow helps me to do and keep my focus on what is important.

I'm waiting for my son from class at the cafe again. I'm learning music with chatgpt, I'm writing out important things.

I wrote a post about the challenges when I became a design leader

Don’t touch it!
The hardest part of transitioning from a designer to a manager is stopping myself from meddling with the designs using my now non-designer hands

Today Apple promotes apps for productivity. I find it interesting that they use pen and paper for it :)

The road will be mastered by the walking

What if the first step is wrong? Unfortunately, no one will know if it is correct or not if it is not done. Don't be afraid to take the first step in any business: in work, in life, in love, especially in love!

Is someone writing electronic music?

Can you tell me where to start for a person who has never done this?
