i'm trying to have some kind of cogent thought about or ways to prepare for the effect of these tariffs. if people have thoughts other than buy canadian (which yes, definitely) i'd love to hear them. I keep reading "buckle up" but i have no idea what that looks like particularly as an artist-demic

Deeply frustrating in a "can the subaltern speak way" how we keep trying to explain how the risk is impoverishment, imprisonment, violence & death, and the liberal/left keeps on saying "I'm so sorry, don't worry, you are valid" in response???
Okay, like - thank you liberal cis people for posting about how "valid" trans people are, I get you want to be nice, but that is a functionally immaterial issue. The danger right now is not about being "valid" on a psychological level but about trans people's material rights being stripped away
