But the brief is not the only thing that has come out of my raising drones at every opportunity (and annoying colleagues in the process), it has also landed me a desk decoration that has accompanied me to a new desk in Brussels (where drones still feature, of course).

Including, of course, Brief Nr. 17 "Minding the Drone Gap - Drone Warfare and the EU", co-authored by Jan Joel Andersson and myself, which has since become my primary claim to credibility on the subject.

It's been a while since I left
@euiss.bsky.social, but I've finally completed the collection of hard copies of all the policy briefs and Chaillot papers I contributed to in some form (at least those which are published as of now).

The amount of large & expensive Russian naval assets being sunk by coordinated USV/naval drone attacks is becoming hard to ignore. The Houthi may lack the sophistication & numbers (of USVs), but other state actors do not & will not. Scene-setting for future naval engagements.
