There is lots to be looked at in terms of family reunification etc but the actual process of asylum claims in Denmark could be source of real inspiration. Keeping these decisions out of an (already stretched) court system

Decisions are made by the Danish Immigration Service in the first instance, any appeals go onto the Danish Immigration Board.

And, according to the Board's own website: "Board decisions are not subject to judicial review". In other words - rarely do they end up in courts.
