This is a really handy guide, if you want to get a solid baseline for blocking Trackers/Ads in Vivaldi, without relying on an extension.

Hi @Vivaldi thanks for building such a great browser. You know what would be great? If I had the possibility to increase the tab-height, without affecting the whole UI (using the zoom).

I'm currently doing this using custom CSS, as I find the current tabs a bit too small in height.

Also merry […]

The Apple Podcast app has elvolved drastically in the right direction.
BUT Pocket Casts is still superior because of the extremely good syncing across devices and chapter preselection.

If Apple adds/fixes that, then I might revisit…

No Mans sky is sich a good game.
I‘ve spent a lot of time in it.

Hello Games has basically become, what Blizzard once was. Supporting a game, that is almost ten years old and still gets free updates - of which most of them would have been paid DLCs, if it were a different company.

No wonder […]

And then you end up modding Vivaldi just a tiny bit. Increasin the tab-height by 5px.
Tiny value - but such a visual difference.

Is it just me, or is all that Apple stuff getting worse lately?
Like:

Liquid Glass irritating users, as a lot of things now require additional taps on iOS?

Nice bugs where increased font-sizes lead to issues in the iOS Ui (notes field in the calender for example)

Quick action button no longer […]

Recently No Man’s Sky got the update called „Voyagers“ and I finally had the time ro play.
The update is insane - I can‘t believe „Hello games“ does those updates for free… to a nine year old game.

You can build your own spaceships now and much more. I love this game.

I've actually come to the point where I am only buying products from the EU now.

I don’t care anymore. Apple has become really annoying lately anyways […]

[Spoiler: Alien Earth]

As long as the series took place on spaceships, it was great. Especially episode 5.
However, after episode 8:
The Alien had no real reason to be in there.
The whole season was more like „Bladerunner light“.
The eye-monster was cool though. 👁️

Do you like command + , on the mac to get to the settings of an app?
You can have something like that on iPhone as well with this shortcut. https://mas.to/@snazzyq/115237020474253747

Attached: 1 video This single-step Apple Shortcut is a GAME CHANGER. No more going to Settings -> Apps -> and then finding the app. Just swipe from Control Center, run the shortcut, and you’re automatically redirected!

No one ever took me seriously when I told them, that dependencies to external packages in a project should be as few as possible.

And now we have that series of npm-package-attacks.

I have to admit, Spotlight has become really fast on macOS Tahoe. It finally pays off having stayed with Spotlight and writing some shortcuts for it (instead of using Alfred, Raycast or something similar).

TIL: Apple does not allow sharing an AirTag between a parent and it‘s child in the same family.

I had some letdowns in the Apple Ecosystem recently, so I started investigating other phones - although, currently I don‘t want to switch… but who knows.

Today also marked the third day, where I tried to find and fix a bug using AI.

It failed me again.

Today, was the second time, when my WiFi was borked when running Homeassistant with the AdGuard addon.
I actually don‘t know what caused the issue, but it prevented our new Solar-Panels to run properly.
Switched back to Homebridge and AdGuard and things started to connect.

So hopefully […]

Today I installed Home Assistant on my Pi 3.
Wow, I am amazed. It is such an improvement over Homebridge (which is also pretty neat).

You can connect basically everything to Home Assistant - and even integrate AdGuard Home.

It is a bit weird. Prime Video is complaining of not having a compatible browser, if I run @Vivaldi on an external monitor. However it works on an internal display of the MacBook.
The thing is: Safari or Edge don't care about the display-connection. So I'm not quite sure, what is going on […]

I got quite some positive feedback for the presentations I gave recently. Through the years, I ended uo doing this:

1. Spend more time on creating your slides.
2. Use graphics.
3. You will memorize the slides automatically, since you iterate over them multiple times, making them great.
4. Be […]

Today I replaced 30 öines of JavaScript with three lines of CSS for styling dots in a carousel.

The best thing - it just works without any hooks to check thing here and there.

I love CSS…

Some mewspapers actually wonder, why users install adblockers?
Have you ever tried to read the comments on some? You never get to the comments section, because while scrolling to it, ads will get injected over and over again.

You can only reach the comments by luck, actually.
