People do everything they can with what they have, but the extra help can be a lifesaver. Usually I donate to animal shelters, but this year I've donated to west seattle food bank instead. Maybe if people can get a little extra help there, they won't need to surrender their pets.

This thread has warmed my heart. Honestly I’ve just been grateful that platform engineering is the new term so devops can just die and stop being abused by marketers.

I stopped reading algo generated content years ago. I use a curated collection on feedly combined with a casual browse of bsky. That's it. You should try curating your own news. I also try to stay logged out of google apps during casual browsing. I'm very get off my lawn about being tracked.
