It's a unique and privileged evil to be able to disconnect entirely from innocent people in places they didn't ask to be, and find genuine issue with the statement "I hope they're safe too".

No it isn't. I have no idea how you've extrapolated that from this post at all, it's an incredibly hopeful post that is wishing we can all be free. Women being denied healthcare in the US aren't equivalent to slave owners, Israeli people being attacked for opposing the genocide aren't either.

I don't think they're equating anything, its just a reminder that people aren't always their government/ regime.

Except most of us aren't imperial or genocidal, didn't install isreal and are literally normal people who are regularly children of immigrants, and the public of the UK support palestine?
