The corollary here is why you’d devote all those resources to a profile of Sanford in 2020 — the fixation with covering a presidential election 8 millions times over, & pour in most resources over to political journalism, while 1000s of elections go totally uncovered, is wild. (Anyway, read bolts!)

it's enormously telling that Karen Attiah, Mehdi Hassan, Joy Reid are not currently employed in mainstream media, but Olivia Nuzzi is treated like an irreplaceable asset by multiple outlets.
