#FantasyIndiesSeptember Day 3 | Esta's series is set in our world (with an urban fantasy twist, of course!), so the education system is pretty much the same. Esta studied Photography at the university where she now works in the student-run gallery, and her found sister studies marine biology there!

#FantasyIndiesJuly Day 16 | Without Esta as the MC, it’d be a completely different story. Bonnie would never have known the Veiled (=supernaturals) exist, for example, so nothing would have happened. This series wouldn't exist without Esta’s discovery and her adjusting to it.

I haven't written a huge deal of Esta 4 yet, but I'm quite pleased with the first few paragraphs :) I cut out the first line, because that would have been very specific spoilers for B3😅

It was when Marvin the Asshole, my new manager, cornered and belittled me, and I silently cried between the bookshelves at work for fifteen minutes. Funny how the Dreamcatcher and Mara trying to destroy my mind, an angry vampire torturing me in a stolen basement, the loss of my best neighbour and teacher, and my first murder wasn’t enough to push me over the edge, but a few cruel words were too much. I suppose it was all a bit much for just two months. I think I’ve been numb for a while now.'
