It was extremely moving. @gingerthompson.bsky.social wove stories about individual patients with the creation/growth of a local healthcare system, current affairs, the community‘s history & relationship to the hospital. It‘s a testament to what is broken with US healthcare.

In February of 2017 Admiral McRaven warned this was coming. Not sure how many times I have posed and shared this, and sadly I have found it has little effect on their tribal loyalty to the annihilation of truth and facts.

My ex's grandma's cooking was justly feared by all. At one grisly holiday feast her daughter-in-law whimpered, "Dorothy, how did you get the turkey to *taste* like that," and she beamed, "Well, I cook the turkey the night before, and I slice it and I leave it out overnight to dry."
