Absolutely. But we also can’t trust that we have a safe village available, even if it was a true available resource (the village). People too often have ulterior motives, and finding a safe space or people is not impossible, but most times FEELS impossible.

The past is the past. Sure did try to lol me, but I’m still standing. Broken but it brought strength. Current relationship is everything I didn’t think I could ever have. Parenthood is difficult. The modern world likes to try and mess things up that should be simple.

lol!!!! In our home, Biggs refers to our two older kids. Both 15, but from our two separate/previous marriages.

It’s definitely heavy. And yes, that’s the point.
So a light reading suggestion? Which also has some multi layered things….. “The Phantom Tollbooth”. I started it with my two Biggs during the summer 2 summers ago, but we live 7 hours away, and we haven’t finished it. It’s a MUST FINISH BOOK!
