Is it unfashionable to mention that its story/setting still feels quite hollow?

to me, video games are fundamentally about fun engaging mechanics wrapped in the presentation of art, story, music, etc. for some games the story itself is a mechanic.

surely there is great artistic value in well-designed engaging systems, genre-defining mechanics and simply well-made games (StS).

I also do not understand why they plugged the story about CTA funding cliff in here? The funding cliff does not have much to do with the proposed improvements to the rail. Naturally, if there is no funding there is less trains and less noise.

nah, I think it’s cool that Chance is staying in Chicago

Can you even drink on Metra anymore? Every time I take it from Millennium Park I see those "No drinking" signs outside the station.

There is also a Water Taxi stop there. It is a part of my go-to recommendation for a touristy day in Chicago: spend some time in the loop->walk around the riverwalk->take the water taxi to Chinatown->have a nice lunch in the plaza->take L to Hyde Park->see the university->MSI->take metra to loop

I have noticed that it is absent from most of the online conversations about food in Chicago. Maybe it's because most of the online Chicago people are on the Northside.

Does anyone have a write-up/deep dive on Johnson shutting out the movement? I would love to learn more about this.

Cedars is a quite good middle eastern place. Great taste and value on the lunch special. I believe they also host a monthly standup for charity.

5 Rabanitos opened a location here too. Quite good, a bit expensive.

In my opinion, the food is a bit mediocre here (excluding their breakfast menu). But the patio, coffee, and free sparkling water are quite good.

I know this is an old post, but I would add Ascione Bistro here. Love their Brussels sprouts.

People also love Nella, but I haven't been there enough.

I have disliked his work ever since listening to his podcast on the new Google search. He comes off as very preachy.

Yes! And infrequent, slow transit is also about affordability IMO. It takes at least an hour to reach the well-paying jobs in the Loop and Northside by bus.

I didn't get the animosity with which some have responded to that Slate article! The author praised Zohran's other transit policies and raised some valid points about free fares.

Is there anywhere we could watch the pilot in full? From the trailer alone, I do not see as much similarity other than that both stories are about sex workers.

I agree. Even by the logic of the "true unemployment rate" that the article talks about, Biden seems to have achieved the lowest rate in the last 40 years
