I've added low lying mist/strange fog to my sourcebook, not sure if they had UHT milk back then, and the only milk I have like that is cat milk, and I'm not going to risk that ;-)
The Vanishing of the Rhondda Hikers (1926): During the height of the General Strike, three young men from Tonypandy went for a hike in the nearby mountains to escape the tension in the valleys. They were seen entering a low-lying mist in a high valley. They never emerged. A massive search party found no trace,no footprints, no discarded equipment. The official conclusion was that they had fallen into an abandoned mineshaft, though no such shaft was recorded in that location.
