The medical monsters who advocate for transitioning children are lying to the parents about that. "So, do you want a dead son or a living daughter?"
It's medical malpractice to use emotional blackmail against these parents.
Personally, I'd tell that doctor to go fuck himself, but that's just me.

Having messed up parents can do a number on a kid, but kids have resilience. Had your father gotten sober/clean it could have changed your need to be the fixer.

I'm still waiting for the news media publications that Trump shut down. How many reporters have been imprisoned for printing/saying disparaging remarks against Trump? If you claim he's broken the First Ammendment their should be proof, right? Let's focus there for now. I'll wait.

So what you're saying is every presidential appointment is somehow different than Trump appointments because of "actions and context" not that he did anything wrong, but just because you don't like what he's doing.
