The opposite of despair is not hope, it's action.
Don't believe everything you think.
Careful. This kind of talk can make it easier for an article V convention. Nobody will come out ahead on that. Except China and Russia and billionaires.

Hard at work is where children learn best: send them to the mines, bakeries, and the school of hard knocks!

Plastic frames without the nose pieces don't get stuck. I'm wearing a pair two prescriptions past because of this

Those who are pushing for a convention are already gaming out their responses and processes. We need proposals. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pkv-...

What can you do? Start with reading what you can - both for and against a convention. If you agree there is too much danger in a convention, check if your state has called for one. If it has, urge your local state legislators to rescind any applications for an Article V constitutional convention.

I will also point out that Congress (presumably by majority vote) may allow instead of ratification by a state's legislature, ratification by state convention. No real description on what that is or who would populate such conventions, either. Ratification is not a popular vote.

Fair. I mixed up US nationals with citizens. The point stands, though. US nationals would have no say or representation in such a convention and its impacts on them are unclear and unrepresented.

Thanks for that clarification. Are they no longer U.S. citizens?

How many violations of the 1st Amendment can you count here? At least four.

There are those who have been planning and strategizing for such a convention for decades. I would like to be part of the planning and strategizing for how to mitigate the damage in the event that the convention comes to pass.
I have started my research. LMK if you know others of like mind.

Do not believe for a single second that you would be better off. No one on the planet would be better off after such a convention. Except, perhaps, the oligarchs.

So, the Amendment process is broken. Congress doesn’t work. Gerrymandering has broken our political process. The answer, though, is not to burn everything down and start anew.

The Commerce Clause as it currently is interpreted does things like enable federal regulation of pollution and prescription medication.
